"...I fell in love – with a bike! I’d tried aluminum and titanium, but there’s something about the ride feel of a classic, lugged steel frame.

Since I wasn’t planning to race this bike (I use a carbon frame on the velodrome), I went with steel. The result? A beautiful, handcrafted Italian frame paired with modern components: Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting, Zipp wheels, and a SRAM drivetrain.

…I have logged 23,873.52 miles and climbed 912,824.3 vertical feet, “stress-busting” every pedal stroke..."

"How do I like the frame? It’s lovely and the ride is fabulous. No problems with it being too stiff or unforgiving on the road. I ride 20 to 25 miles a day and find I’m enjoying the Formigli more and more. No complaints, whatsoever.

I also have a carbon bike but the fit on the Formigli is superb. It fits and I haven’t had that kind of fit for 50 years."

"...the frame is gorgeous! The main things that stood out to me was how lightweight the steel frame is – the spirit steel is very impressive.

The brazed joints are perfectly smooth and seamless, and the paint job looks fantastic…Thank you so much. I love this frame and aim to take good care of it."

"I have to say I’ve never ridden a bike so balanced and smooth. Even without fine tuning it felt amazing. I have no idea what I’ve been waiting for? Why did I not buy one of these earlier?

Initial words to describe the ride: vaporous ethereal. Renzo is an absolute master at frame building. He’s created a beautiful but functional piece of art…the bike is beautiful!!!"

"It was with great expectation that I ordered the FGR frame after analyzing all the information I could. Upon approving the measurements and configuring conditions suggested by Mr. Renzo Formigli, it took only two months to get (the bike).

Since then, it has been my faithful companion…it is an amazingly powerful disguised rocket over two wheels!"

"Thank you (and please extend to Renzo as well) for this experience. You’ve been amazing to work with and this could not have gone better.

I can’t really envision buying a bike any other way now, haha. Tell Renzo to hold onto my measurements, I may be in touch again!"
